Paris Fall 14, 15, 16
The photographs represent visits to Paris between 2014 and 2016. During this period extraordinary events occurred: demonstrations and terror attacks. In this selection of photographs arranged into sub-groups each one reflects daily observations while walking the city. The pictures convey a sense of history while capturing the cities contemporary social and cultural dynamics.
There are signs of these events, sometimes apparent and in other cases less so. While each photograph is a factual record of the moment an element of fiction is woven in; to narrate the realities of a divergent and troubled city. This fiction is a montage of photographs ordered to tell the contemporary story. In some cases re-appropriated so they simultaneously retain sub-stories:
ambiguous but suggestive of both a personal and universal nature.
